From engagement to first USD invoice
Dual-jurisdiction holding structure for a Gulf-based commodities trader
Commodities TradingChallenge
A UAE-based commodities trading group was losing contracts because US counterparties required a domestic billing entity. Their existing DMCC licence could not invoice in USD without triggering complex cross-border tax exposure.
Our approach
We incorporated a Delaware LLC as the US-facing billing entity and restructured the DMCC free zone company as the operational hub. An inter-company services agreement was drafted to govern fund flows between the two entities, and we facilitated business banking in both jurisdictions through our ADCB and Emirates NBD relationships.
